Arthrostim Adjusting Technique

The ArthroStim® instrument is a handheld machine that aids your chiropractor in performing adjustments. The ArthroStim® instrument allows the doctor tremendous control over all adjustment variables. The ArthroStim® produces a succession of rapidly repeating, high velocity-low amplitude thrusts. The power of the thrusts can be changed from mere ounces of force up to 40 pounds, allowing the practitioner to utilize the ArthroStim® as an extension of their own hands. This spring cushioned stylus design allows our doctors to increase or decrease pressure to the body allowing them to completely tailor the patients care, providing not only comfort to the patient but addressing their subjective complaints and is very safe and effective.

Individuals that may especially benefit from the use of the ArthroStim Instrument include:

• Infants and young children

• Individuals with acute or extreme pain

• Particularly sensitive individuals

• Individuals who dislike being “cracked”

• Individuals who suffer from neck pain

• Individuals who require adjustments to the extremities

• Elderly individuals

Flexion/Distraction Table

Flexion Distraction (also known as the Cox Technique) is a chiropractic technique that is used to treat many conditions of the lower back including; removing pressure placed on the spinal nerves due to bulging or herniated discs resulting in sciatic or shooting type back and leg pain, as well as spinal stenosis. This is a non-surgical technique aimed at increasing spinal motion and improving overall function by reducing disc bulges and herniations. This table moves in a rhythmic motion that flexes and distracts the spine, creating a negative pressure that pulls the disc material back into the spine itself. Dr’s. Marc, Dan and Victoria also use manual force in conjunction with the table’s motion to enhance and restore normal joint motion. Overall, this treatment allows the ease of nutrient transmission to the spinal discs and restores normal muscle activity and enhances ligament flexibility.
